The TRUTH about the Deep Dive Tournament Patterns Map

What is it, really?
Our Tournament Patterns map is often confused as a map only for tournament anglers, but it is an incredible tool for all bass anglers. By “Tournament Patterns” we mean the data for this map was sourced from professional tournament catches.
A tedious process
To collect this data, professional anglers rewatch hundreds of hours of Bassmaster Elite Series and Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour livestreams and record data about the fish catches on the live stream. We record the bait used, structure and cover the fish were caught on, weather conditions, water clarity, fishing season, section of the lake in which the fish was caught, and many other pieces of data about the fish catch. To date, we have over 10,000 fish catches–or tournament patterns–in our database.
Making it relevant to you
When you view the Tournament Patterns map in the Deep Dive app we are drawing on that database of 10,000+ catches and filtering them down to lakes that have similar characteristics to your lake. We then filter them down further by the current time of day and weather conditions, and then even further to your selected season and fishing style!
It’s all about data
At Deep Dive we are trying to bring objective, data driven tools to a space that is filled with subjective opinions. Our Tournament Patterns map is not based on where we “think” your should be fishing or how you should be fishing, its based on a mountain of data observed in professional tournaments.
